In my own personal opinion, Hungary is doing the right thing when this land of thermal waters takes a stand against Islamic immigration; you need to understand that Hungary was humiliated when they were invaded by a Muslim country and that country is Turkey 5 centuries ago. Hungary is very lucky to have a leader like Viktor Orbán who is defending Hungary against another Islamic invasion. The square is dominated by the tall facade of the Saint Emmerich Church that was built above an ossuary by the Hungarian Calvinists in around 1615. A beautiful Baroque building contains yet another treasure, the Jesuit Apoteka, in which remedies were prepared according to ancient formulae. Budapest is the capital of Hungary, pearl of the Danube and ever-changing cosmopolitan city. In the south of Pest, historic buildings are located within the Gozsdu Courtyard and close by, in the Jewish quarter, the Great Synagogue, the second largest Jewish sacred building in the world. One of the main landmarks of Hungary’s capital city is the Parlament, an imposing Neo-Gothic building located alongside the Danube on the banks of Pest. At the confluence of the Tisza and Bodrog, within the northern tongue of Puszta, is the world famous wine growing region of Tokaj where the tradition of wine growing goes back several centuries and brought the area much prosperity. The southern Hungarian town of Kalocsa is located near the Danube and is a centre of paprika growing and folk culture that is well worth a visit. Hungary is a land of many faces, a glorious gem set in the heart of Europe. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/HYQdhg Join us. Travel video about destination Along the Danube in Hungary. The Danube is a European river and although the Volga is longer and the Rhine is of greater economic importance, no other river flows through ten countries almost three thousand kilometres from its source within the Black Forest, to its delta estuary in the Black Sea. Donau-Eschingen is the birthplace of the Danube whose source is situated in the gardens of Fürstenberg Castle in which, on the top of the Mother Baar Fountain, is her daughter, the young Danube, who points towards the Black Sea. After around two hundred kilometres in the valley of the Young Danube, the famous river reaches Ulm, an important centre of trade. The Minster Of Ulm is a masterpiece of European Gothic and, rising up a hundred and sixty one metres, its church tower is the highest in the world. Donauwörth developed from a fishing settlement on the Wörnitz island of Ried from where the river flows into the Danube. In 877 A.D. a bridge was built across the Danube and an intersection of European trade routes was created. Linz, the capital city of Upper Austria, owes its good fortune to its strategic location at the junction of the Traun. On the main square, an ornately decorated Trinity Column marks the spot where the mediaeval Salt Road reached the market square. The Babenbergs built the city as a border fortress against the Bavarians. The capital of Hungary, Budapest, is the Pearl On The Danube, an ancient international city. High above the banks of the Danube is Buda’s Castle Hill with its imposing Castle Palace. The Danube ends in the port town of Sulina Delta in which a cathedral serves as a reminder of liberation from the Turks. In this natural universe of land and water, which originated almost ten thousand years ago, nearly three thousand kilometres of river come to an end. The Danube is a multicultural European lifeline, a magnificent waterway that flows through both history and time. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/HYQdhg Join us. Budapest (Hungary) is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe - the pearl of the Danube 4K Budapest ist eine der schönsten Städte Europas - die Perle an der Donau 4K Budapest az egyik legszebb város Európában - a Duna gyöngyszeme 4K Many thanks for the fantastic aerial photographs of "Martinix Movie Mix" https://youtu.be/2NkHtsv2dE4 https://youtu.be/xspwTs2cY1M Produced by Richard Weinhofer Dedicated for the Kanagawa DMAT Designated Hospital (Japan) Budapest is the capital and most populous city of Hungary and one of the largest cities in the European Union. With an estimated 2016 population of 1,759,407 distributed over a land area of about 525 square kilometres (203 square miles), Budapest is also one of the most densely populated major cities in the EU. Budapest is both a city and county, and forms the centre of the Budapest metropolitan area, which has an area of 7,626 square kilometres (2,944 square miles) and a population of 3,303,786, comprising 33 percent of the population of Hungary. The Budapest metropolitan area had a GDP of $141.0 billion (€129.4 billion) in 2016, accounting for 49.6 percent of the GDP of Hungary. GDP per capita in the city is $64,283, which means 148% of the EU average measured on purchasing power parity. Thereby the city is among the top 100 GDP performing cities in the world and making it one of the largest regional economies in the European Union. The history of Budapest began with Aquincum, originally a Celtic settlement that became the Roman capital of Lower Pannonia. Hungarians arrived in the territory in the 9th century. Their first settlement was pillaged by the Mongols in 1241. The re-established town became one of the centres of Renaissance humanist culture by the 15th century. Following the Battle of Mohács and nearly 150 years of Ottoman rule, the region entered a new age of prosperity, and Budapest became a global city with the unification of Buda and Óbuda on the west bank with Pest on the east bank on November 17, 1873. Budapest also became the co-capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a great power that dissolved in 1918, following World War I. The city was the focal point of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, the Battle of Budapest in 1945, and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Budapest is cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, ranked as "the world's second best city" by Condé Nast Traveler, and "Europe's 7th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes. Among Budapest's important museums and cultural institutions, the most visited art museum is the Museum of Fine Arts, which is noted for one of the largest collections of all periods of European art and comprises more than 100,000 pieces. Further famous museums and galleries are the Hungarian National Museum, House of Terror, Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Hungarian State Opera House and National Széchényi Library. The central area of the city along the Danube River is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many notable monuments, including the Hungarian Parliament, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, Gresham Palace, Széchenyi Chain Bridge, Matthias Church and the Liberty Statue. Another famous landmarks include Andrássy Avenue, St. Stephen's Basilica, Heroes' Square, the Great Market Hall, the Nyugati Railway Station built by the Eiffel Company of Paris in 1877 and the second-oldest metro line in the world, the Millennium Underground Railway. The city also has around 80 geothermal springs, the largest thermal water cave system, second largest synagogue, and third largest Parliament building in the world. Budapest attracts 4.4 million international tourists per year, making it the 25th most popular city in the world and the 6th in Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest

But Hungary is still facing serious problems, one of whom being most young Hungarians do not feel that they have a future in their own country, many Magyars are living the country to work abroad temporarely or permantelty and alcoholism is very high. Those arriving have been raised in another religion, and represent a radically different culture. Most of them are not Christians, but Muslims. Hungary, France, Portugal and other countries on the continent have their identities rooted in Humanism, Christianity and other free ideas, not Islam. Hungary and other East European countries do not want to face the consequences of having large numbers of Muslim communities like in West European countries. That is the conclusion of a recent survey conducted by researchers from the Hungarian Academy who found that many are planning on emigrating as soon as they graduated. One of Hungary's most pressing social problems is the high incidence of alcoholism. Despite the constitutional guarantee of civil liberties and human rights, several Hungarian minority groups have suffered from discrimination and persecution in recent years; this has been attributed in part to economic frustration resulting from the transition to a capitalist system. In 1993 Hungary passed a law that recognized the Roma population as a national minority. Jews are recognized as a religious minority. On the other side many Magyars still see Jews as a threat to their national security and the far right Jobbik even attacks Romanies and other non-ethnic Magyars. 38 % of Magyars live in poverty among those people are the Romanies who are reperesent a higher statistic, this result to more crime in Hungary from the Romani population. I am the family historian of my father's side. For years I tried to find out where my family came from. Because nobody really knew sure. I kept hearing the word Weisselburg . I looked and looked and I cannot find a city name in Austria. What I did find out was that was Wetern Hungary during the time of the empire also had German names for cities The Hungarian name Magyaravor. Which is approximately 30 miles east of Vienna on the Danube but for years many in our family felt negatively about this. For you see all ethnic Hungarians are not gypsies. They are the Magyar. And originated in the Ural mountains of what is now Russia
